Description of Place
Down the city of Philadelphia, Is where I stand to listen, watch, and join with my friends, observing everything around us, feeling as though we are watching a movie or sitting front row seat to a concert. If you sit to listen and watch you will see people roaming around sounding like busy bee’s rushing to get where they need to go. Plenty of loud noises from people talking, yelling for a cab, cars going by, buses stopping to pick people up, and trains just leaving the station. So much you can hear all in one spot. Young children to adults standing underground in the train station playing their instruments trying to earn some money. You notice everyone is dressed differently, from a suit and tie to uniform to casual and finally to a fashion sense of their own. Stepping into the city, you’ll feel as though this is your home, like sitting in your living room watching a movie with surround sounds, making you feel apart of the scene. You’ll see people you know, school kids hanging around because school just let out, running into a food place to grab something to eat, and people ready to go into one of their favorite stores to shop. Being down the city of Philadelphia, you see big buildings with important business within them, outlets like J. Crew, Gap, Ralph Lauren, The North Face, True Religion, etc., schools, and plenty of food places. If you take the second to smell the city, it smells like good food cooking, money flowing because of the many people that are spending their money in these stores and then there is the stanch of smelly people because, yes of course, there are homeless people roaming around begging for money. Best place for homeless to sit back and make a couple dollars. Then there is America’s favorite product, Apple. Going down Chestnut Street, you will run into the Apple store, which is across True Religion and the sports store. This is one of the main stores where you will see more teenagers then adults trying out the new electronics, getting their own electronic fixed, or using the computers to take pictures. Next, there is the mini mall, The Liberty Place, here where there are stores from Express, Victory Secrets, and plenty more. Then there is the food court that everyone loves to go to because they have a range of food from Chinese food, sushi, Chik-fil-a, pizza, and many more. Finally, if you walk over to the LOVE Park where you will catch skateboarders and many couples hanging out together taking pictures in front of the LOVE sign, the big water fountain that changes color, and the pretty building that surround it. Downtown is the place to be for any day to stroll around with your friends, go shopping, have fun, and just enjoy your day.
